App Store Keyword Rankings

Since launching OurPact in 2015, keyword rankings have been a key to OurPact’s organic growth and brand awareness.

Back in 2015, the concept of “screen time” was rather new, so I had to find creative ways to discover keywords that brought high quality downloads to our product.

As we entered the “location tracking” space I had to add another vertical to my strategy.

* App Store & Play Store:

  1. Scrape the app store for competitors

  2. Compile their Title, Subtitle, App Name, URL, and Description into document

  3. Comb for keyword trends

  4. Pull X number of keywords into Keyword Planner and LSIGraph to get variations

  5. Create a master list of keywords

  6. Upload that keyword list to Tool.io for traffic and relevancy

  7. Optimize Title, Subtitle, Keywords, and Description in App Radar for Quality Score

  8. Develop keyword strategy for subsequent releases for testing
